They are supposed to be driving down the streets of Las Vegas in a Nissan GT-R, but they find themselves driving in circles on an underground parking garage. They have no idea how this happened and want help getting back home, but there is nowhere for them to go. For some reason they can't quit the game so it's basically impossible for players at their level to win and get out of the garage without cheating or using glitches. Eventually, players learn how to get out of the garage and they are dropped in New York City where they are racing in the streets. It's still impossible to beat the high levels though, but at least all of this drama is over. "NfS Underground 3" is an online game for Xbox Live Arcade. This game has no story mode, but there are hot spots scattered around New York City which you can use for fast travel between missions. Players must race through the streets of NYC in their cars and pick up other racers to complete missions. The gameplay is similar to "Forza Motorsport 2", but with more options and a different city to race through. Nfs Underground 3 was originally intended to be a downloadable title for the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade, but it later received a full standalone release. The game was met with average to mixed reviews upon release; GameRankings and Metacritic gave it a score of 70.40% and 68 out of 100 for the PlayStation 2 version; and 70.44% and 68 out of 100 for the GameCube version; while the Xbox version scored 66.09% and 66 out of 100. "NFS Underground 2" received "generally favorable reviews", while the GameCube version received mixed to positive reviews, but the Xbox version received "mixed or average reviews", according to video game review aggregator Metacritic.The soundtrack for "NFS Underground" was released in 2003.
